Why there is a bike

brandmymac.com sold ten sticker spots on a MacBook lid and passed $2,959. This is that, on a road vehicle.

A SoMa billboard costs thousands a month and needs a media buyer. I have a machine that crosses the city several times a day, with flat panels the size of a laptop lid doing nothing.

The twelve spots add up to $3,495, which is what the bike cost.

Every logo is screened before any money moves. I print each decal at its stated size, fit it, photograph it on the machine, and ride.

What $600 buys, three other ways.

What $600 buys at brandmyolto compared with a billboard, a newsletter slot and a crowdfunding page.

How the money works

  • One fixed price per spot. Nothing to outbid, nothing to top up.
  • Your logo is screened before the card page opens.
  • Payment is final. The spot is yours for the life of the bike.
